Oktal Pharma d.o.o. Ljubljana Upgrades Its Warehouse Facilities

In order to improve the quality of warehousing and transport services, Oktal Pharma Ljubljana opened the doors of its renovated warehouse in June 2019.

Thanks to this, the smooth flow of work processes and goods circulation is ensured. The size of the storage area has also increased, making the distribution of products simpler, and a separate quarantine area has even been established.

The project included the installation of the Exactum temperature and humidity monitoring system. The system is capable of providing analysis of the overall temperature and warns of potential fluctuations that deviate from prescribed standards. The previous heating and cooling equipment was expanded with an air conditioning system, which serves as a secondary system to ensure constant warehouse temperature, guaranteeing the safe storage of goods.

The business activities of the company are supported by integrated ERP and WMS information systems, through which all transactions and events are recorded. The systems comply with GDPR regulations and ensure product traceability. Within the WMS system, receiving and distribution of goods are handled via handheld terminals, thereby reducing unnecessary paper use. These modern systems contribute to the development of digital administration.

The renovated warehouse space complies with current Good Distribution Practice (GDP) guidelines and regulations for medical devices. The strict storage conditions and built in security system ensure that only authorized personnel can enter the warehouse area.

The service offered by Oktal Pharma Ljubljana has thus reached a new level, fostering effective cooperation with current and future partners.
